Sumnmary: A story with a simple concept: what if Sonny from Sonny 1 and 2 games encountered Veradux from Sonny 2017?
When he opens his eyes, Sonny thinks he sees his friend Veradux's armor. The armor he stole from the ZPCI. At least, Veradux never said otherwise. Instead, Sonny sees a different armor.
Much bulkier than the one he knows, Sonny notices the orange-ish crosses on its shoulders and the large round visor that serves as its eyes.
“Hey, Veradux,” he said softly, not yet fully awake. “Where'd you get that new armor?”
“Another talking zombie,” said Veradux. “And he seems nice. Sonny will be happy.”
“What? But...” Sonny is wide awake now. “I'm Sonny.” He slowly gets up.
“No way. My buddy Sonny has killer muscles. A six-pack! You're way too scrawny. Ha ha!”
“Very funny but I repeat: I'm Sonny. And you are...?”
“Veradux and quit saying you’re my pal. I don’t know you.”
“But I AM Sonny! And you're not Veradux.”
“What? Explain yourself.”
“Veradux... The Veradux I know is a zombie like me and he wears armor stolen from the ZPCI.”
“So either I'm going crazy or I'm looking at an alternate Sonny.”
“An alternate what?”
“A Sonny different from the one I know. Your Veradux must be with my Sonny right now.”
“This is nuts! I must be dreaming.”
“But I'm right here, dude, and I'm human.”
Sonny asks this Veradux to explain himself.
This Veradux told him that he had been in the army but, after being shot and paralyzed from the spine, he could no longer walk. He was no longer useful as a soldier so this Veradux joined InfectAid and was given this armor.
“Thanks to it, I can walk and do everything I did before that damned bullet!”
“That's impressive. I don't feel like you're lying to me. Then again, I have amnesia, so for judging people...”
Veradux chuckled softly at Sonny's words.
“Like my Sonny.”
“So then... if you come from... another world or something like that, the Veradux I know must be there. With your Sonny. How can I get him back?”
“Good question, Other Sonny.”
“‘Other Sonny’?”
“I have to differentiate you from my Sonny. Right?”
Now it's Sonny's turn to laugh. He therefore calls him “Human Veradux” to distinguish him from his zombie friend. Human Veradux isn't a fan of this nickname but he doesn't ask Sonny to change it.
And so begins a quest for Sonny and Human Veradux. This Veradux must return to his world somehow and Zombie Veradux must come back here to his Sonny.
